Express Library
Carver County Library is pleased to provide an Express Library for your use in the Cologne Community Center located next to Cologne Academy at 1211 Village Parkway.
This location allows families to access library books without having to go to the library. In order to enjoy this convenient amenity, Cologne Academy has created a system to make it even more convenient for our school families to access library materials.
The very first step is obtaining a library card. Fill out an application if you don’t have a Carver County Library Card.

As a community service to Cologne Academy families, school staff will provide the service of getting the books you request via your Carver County library account from Cologne’s Express Library and place the library materials in your child’s backpack.
When your family is done enjoying the library materials, simply drop the items in the office and we will return your items to Express Library return bin for your family.
HOW THIS WORKS:
1. Use your Carver County library card to request library books on the Carver County library website and select “Cologne Express Library” as your pick up location to have the books delivered to the Cologne Express library when they are available. Please note that the books you request may not be available for your immediate checkout and you may be placed on a wait list (you can view your placement on the wait list by viewing your requests (holds) on your account on the Carver County library website).
2. Send us an email frontdesk@cologneacademy.org with your name, 4-digit pin number (last four digits of your library card number) , and the child you would like us to send the materials home with, and we will place the materials checked out to your account in your child’s backpack. (The library currently delivers books to the Express Library box on Tuesdays and Fridays).
3. Books can be returned to the school office, the Carver County Library book drop at the south end of the Cologne Community Center parking lot, or any Carver County Library.
4. Cologne Academy provides this as a convenience to our families. Cologne Academy is not responsible for late fees on your account or missing/lost books. Please give your children explicit directions about care and responsibility for these books.
