CURRENT PE NEWS:

Welcome back to another year at Cologne Academy! I am very excited to be the physical education teacher at CA. Below I have listed a few important reminders for you:

1) All CA students MUST have a pair of PE shoes designated for use only in the Cologne Community Center. Students should NOT wear these shoes outside. They may wear street shoes for outdoor PE.

2) All CA students are expected to participate in PE. The goal is to be active 100% of the time we are in class. Students that are ill/absent should make sure they exercise 30 minutes on their own outside the classroom.

CURRENT UNIT:

Our most recent unit was Track and Field. The students enjoyed running relays using a baton and trying the shot put. They have also tried some short sprint races. If the weather cooperates, our next unit is Bocce Ball, where emphasis will be placed on underhand tossing and follow-through.
