What we’re up to!
The middle school dance was a huge success! I know we are all looking forward to more in the future.
Infinite Campus, to log in to your new accounts please go to cologneacademy.org and click on the parent portal site, after you register you’ll be getting a log in code from the office. Please be patient with any glitches that may arise, notify myself or Kelly in the office and we’ll do what we can to rectify them quickly.
College T-Shirt Day Friday
Homeroom:
We’ll be falling back into our “normal” routine, we have voted on a t-shirt for next year’s peer group, shared skits with K, 1st,2nd, and 3rd grade and created a lot of fun posters to “Promote Peace” in our school. Again celebrate your child for being a great leader for this project and anti-bullying push for the end of the year!
MUR 7:
Writing- editing practice
Spelling: Homework due Thursday, Test on Friday. Monday we’ll work on assignments A and B, Tuesday will be C and D and Wednesday will be assignment E. This week we are on lesson 20.
Literature: We will be starting our last novel of the year “The Great Gatsby” by F. Scott Fitzgerald. This is a difficult book so expect some homework at night and maybe even some reading along with your child to help them understand. We’ll be taking it slow in class for understanding.

History: Industrial America
Monday is our test on Industrialization & Urbanization in America. We’ll also be starting an expository paper Monday and working on it for the week. This will be due on Friday
Tuesday we are staring out new unit Industrial America.
Science: Astronomy
Chapter 4 review will be coming home on Wednesday, tests on Thursday, sci-links will also be coming home on Thursday, many students are asking me for extra credit, yet are not taking the opportunity to do it on their sci-links, this is their one chance to get extra credit and improve their grade.
At the end of our astronomy unit I like to do a fun activity to end the year, please follow the instructions on how to build a bottle rocket, they’ll be due Wednesday June 6th! Let’s see who can build the rocket that goes the furthest!
