I just wanted to give you an update and let you know what this week will look like in special ed. The plan is to observe your children in the classroom, find things that are reinforcing to them, get to know them by having them complete “Get you Know You” posters, introduce them to RAZ Kids (a reading program on the computer), and give students that receive math services the interim math test. Of course all of your children are receiving different services so what we do with them might vary a little bit. I just wanted to give you some idea of what the first week will look like.
Next week we will be doing STEP testing (a reading assessment) with your children who are receiving reading services so we can see where they are at with their reading skills.
